Andrew Alleway and David Moncur started the Tidy Green Clean (TGC) business back in 2016. We have a well-established Commercial Cleaning and Facilities Management Franchise network along with a specialist services division and more recently our Bin Cleaning business.
Our roots began much longer ago when Andrew ran a significant franchised cleaning business in New Zealand before joining forces with David to build our business in Aberdeen, Scotland. We have recently been joined by Blaize Rhodes, who is a highly experienced cleaning business owner located in the South of England. TGC recognised there were huge benefits of bringing our commercial knowledge, systems, processes, and resources to develop a bin cleaning business that we acquired in 2020.
We doubled the size of this business in its first 12 months (2021) and, having refined our systems, are ready to offer the opportunity nationwide. I hope you find the following information useful and I really look forward to telling you more about the opportunity.

We have two levels of entry for a franchisee to start their own bin cleaning business.
Owner Operator
This opportunity is designed to be cost-effective to start your own Bin Cleaned business with the full support of our franchise package.
You will operate within a clearly defined territory comprising a minimum of between 80,000 – 100,000 households.
We would envisage that you will handle all aspects of the business, marketing, admin and cleaning operations, although Bin Cleaned HQ will create marketing materials and assist with the set-up of Facebook pages and initial marketing.
Using our tried and tested marketing strategies, we will work with you over the first 2 months to build your customer base. Once you have enough customers to make a round viable you will then take the cleaning rig, towed with your van, and complete the cleaning tasks on a day-to-day basis.
We have systems in place to help minimise admin tasks and allow you to continue to market to nearby houses and businesses, growing your round to a level you are comfortable with or until your reach capacity for one person/one rig. At this point you can opt for a second rig and employ a further operator – the choice is yours.
Regional Franchisee
This opportunity is designed for you to develop a management franchise with you supporting franchisees across a wider geographical territory. You may start with operating your own rig in part of your territory or you may employ someone to do that. Your role is primarily to grow the business using our tried and tested marketing strategies and to recruit and then provide ongoing support to franchisees within your region, developing a region operating multiple rigs through owner operator franchisees. Alternatively, you could adopt an employed model whereby you employ operators across multiple rigs, potentially investing in higher capacity cleaning rigs.

FAQs
Yes, your agreement lasts 3 months and to cancel a service we require 30 days’ notice.
Bins can quickly become dirty, smelly and turn into a breeding ground for germs and bacteria.
Most councils operate on a fortnightly collection cycle meaning disposed waste and rubbish spends up to 14 days festering in your bins breeding bacteria and creating unpleasant odours. Bins with waste often attract pests which bring additional germs and some of which are dangerous to human health. Just imagine the bacteria that breeds on the surface of your bins let alone inside!
Finally, your bin comes into contact with the waste collection vehicle every time it is emptied, exposing it to yet more germs, bacteria and dirt.
That is why waste bins should be cleaned regularly.
If you have a water supply, a hose and cleaning equipment, you would probably think to yourself: ‘I’ll do this myself’. However It always comes down to time and convenience.
We have specialised pressure washing equipment and detergents to do the job properly and plenty of experience to make sure your bins are always left spotless.
We clean all types of wheelie bin, from small 120L household bins to 1100L commercial wheelie bins.
We recommend that your bins should be cleaned every 4 weeks. This is especially important for bins containing food waste. This is the optimum cleaning cycle to maintain a fresh, safe and odourless bin.

No, you do not have to be in when your bin is cleaned. Just let us know where you will leave your bin e.g. at the kerbside, for the cleaning team. They will put it back in the same place, clean and smelling fresh!
No, we supply everything necessary to clean the bin. We carry our own water supply and detergents.
Absolutely not. All debris from the bin and generated waste water during cleaning will be contained in tanks on the cleaning vehicles. These tanks are only emptied at specific licensed points approved by local authorities and water companies under Environment Agency rules.
Yes, it will. However please be aware that there are some rare occasions where the waste is not of the usual household type or has been disposed of in certain way that it has damaged the bin. Substances such as paint, glue, tar, burn residue cannot be removed using our system.
