Domestic & Commercial Wheelie Bin Cleaning Services

Industrial Action – Aberdeen City

We’ve received the following notice from the council regarding the waste and recycling services in Aberdeen City.

“Aberdeen City Council has received union notification of strikes involving waste and recycling staff between Wednesday 24 August and Thursday 1 September and between Wednesday 7 and Saturday 10 September as part of national action being carried out at local authorities across Scotland. While the full impact of this is unknown, all waste and recycling collection services, both domestic and commercial, may be affected and it is likely that some bins will not be emptied”.

As you can see, there is going to be strike action affecting bin collections between Wednesday 24 August (tomorrow) until next Thursday, 1 September and then again between Wednesday 7 September and Saturday 10 September. This is going to severely impact our ability to provide the Bin Cleaned service that you have subscribed to.

During this period of strike action, we are sorry to say that we will be unable to offer you our service and your normal schedule will be suspended between 24 August and 1 September and again between Wednesday 7 September and Saturday 10 September unless the strike action is resolved and we will resume normal services.

We are monitoring the situation closely and will reschedule your Bin Cleaned service for the next cycle of your scheduled cleaning service. We will also ensure that no payments are processed for any cleans not performed during this period.

We would like to thank you for your loyal custom and our service will be resumed as soon as it is practical to do so.
